I Heard it on the Radio, I Read it in the News

Just saw this new Kate Spade (The Journal Newspaper) clutch and I had to share. It's so cute; looks like a rolled up newspaper on the outside and has a bold red interior. Kate does it again! Her designs are always so inventive--sometimes completely outside the box but always girly and fresh.

What do you think? Yay or Nay?

Hat Trick

No, no I am not wearing a hat...but you know, since this is my 3rd post of the day (is that weird?) I am pulling a Hat Trick!
*Disclaimer: A hat trick is when a player (ie: hockey, football...not as in a boy who "gets with" a ton of ladies) makes 3 great feats in a single game (ie: goal, touchdown, etc.), follow?
Anyway, I wanted to quickly post what I wore today or else it would be lost in the files of my computer...I have been so busy lately and new outfits will come and overshadow my current ones, therefore I must document greatness (wow, that's vein...I probably think this post is about me).
*Disclaimer: Carly Simon reference!
The "busyness" is making me so tired, but I will force myself to go out and have some fun + drink pitchers of white sangria tonight! Today, at my internship I wore:
Blazer: Forever21, Turtleneck: Ralph Lauren, Jeans: Forever21, Shoes: Steve Madden ballet flats, Belt: Forever21 braided, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: Nordstrom's

That's it...3 posts in 24 hours is a lot...I guess I just love blogging, so sue me!
Have a great Friday Night!

What the Tucker?

Okay, I know I posed a few hours ago, but I was looking on SheFinds (an awesome guide to style and fashion) and saw this post! Basically, Target is reintroducing their 34 bestselling dresses from past designer collaborations...among the designers...Gaby Basora's TUCKER FOR TARGET! I am so excited! I can't wait until March 13th (mark your calendars girls!)

Okay, gotta go! Catch 'cha later!

Friday Fancies

So I have never done this "Friday Fancies" thing before, but I am up early and about to get ready for my internship, dreaming about what I would wear if I had billions of dollars leaving me with a wardrobe fit for a....celebrity? socialite? Okay, a wardrobe fit for Cassie Strum...oh hey, that's me! This Friday Fancies game was created by {av} over at the blog {long distance loving} check it out for daily inspiration and romantic stories about her long distance love affair...it's a daily read of mine...and she's a fellow Rhody!

Today my Friday Fancies is inspired by a new resort collection I am completely OBSESSED with...Tucker by Gaby Basora. Tucker had a line for Target a few years back and I wish that I scored some of there notorious patterned pieces...but no, I had not jumped on the Target bandwagon yet, it's a life long haul for me now...I love Target.
Anyway, inspired by Tucker's new designs AND my desperate need to escape the cold, I present you all with my "Destination: Spring Break Vacation Friday Fancies Collection."

Shoes: Sam Edelman Kasi Woven Wedge Sandal, Jeans: American Eagle Boy Fit Crop, Blouse: Tucker Classic, Belt: 32mm Hermes, Bag: Sorial SV0509 Small Bucket

What would you all be wearing if money was no object? Head over to {long distance loving} and play along with us!
Happy Friday!

#100

I can't believe this is my 100th post! While part of me wants to explain how much I love blogging and what it has done for me, I won't...(you can read my declaration page for that). However, I want to gush a little a lot *happy dance* for one small but MAJOR reason. I want to gush about all my amazing readers and followers. You seriously do not know how big of a smile I have plastered on my face when I read your comments...it is truly one of the greatest feelings I have ever experienced. To know that some of you are just like me: interested in fashion and styling and approaching it from a laid-back "this-is-a-jog-not-a-sprint-learning-experience-let's-take-our-time-and-see-what-works-for-us" mentality, not a competition: trying to out-buy, out-wear, out-post, and out-follow (I guess that means get more followers?) fellow bloggers. I appreciate the relationship we have been building and I can't wait to see it's progression, this tight little community is something that I really treasure...okay, sappiness over.
I will be posting twice today, an OOTD post later, but I wanted to make this one separate...a tribute to my lovely co-bloggers and readers! So what are you posting now, Cassie? Well let me explain, this is just a little collage (I use that term loosely, one of my first attempts with these "collages" on blogger) of things that are getting me through this week. I have been thinking so much (over thinking actually) about the future, I just need to appreciate what is going on now.
Funny picture outtakes (aka mirror shots), studded bracelet (disclaimer: this doesn't fit in the equestrian and/or GI Jane categories), cozy nooks that I create in my bed, Forever21 Red nail polish (borrowed from J-9), LeSportsac paisley messenger bag to carry all my books to school (borrowed from Grandma! haha), inspirational sayings that remind me of what's important (gifted from Mom!), organized closet.

How do you relax? What de-stresses you?
I will be back later (unless I fall under the pile of work on my desk again!)
Thanks again for making me one of the happiest girls in the world, I love all of your support!

The Bling Ring

Hey everyone! I hope you are all staying warm! I am sorry that this is going to be a really short post but I have so much homework to catch up on and internship tasks to complete (we are all working from home today due to the weather). However, I wanted to share a picture of this dazzler of a ring, the "bling ring" as I call it...the ring is part of the Couture Collection by G&G Creations, which is one of the clients I have been working with at my internship. Recently Alex McCord, of the Real Housewives of New York City, wore this exact ring to a Runway Show in Providence, RI (StyleWeek).
Okay, back to my work, stay warm today! I will be back with an outfit post tomorrow!
Do you like big statement pieces like this? Or are you a delicate and simple kind of girl?

Let me Join the Crew!

I fell. Yep, on my icy, icy, driveway! The weather is so horrible today; chilly, windy, rainy, snowy...did I mention ICY?
Today I wore a very well put together outfit (that was more Ralph Lauren equestrian than GI Jane), but unfortunately didn't have S photograph it. Why you may be wondering? Doesn't S always wake up at 8:30am to take your OOTD pictures? Or doesn't she take them before you hit the town running with your 5inch stiletto boots? Well..she usually does, however, today I had to wake up at 7AM to drive my car IN THE ICE (sorry for the emphasis but it is really icy) to the Toyota Dealership to get it serviced (people: do not neglect your warning lights on your cars...especially in the winter!). Therefore, I went from the dealership to school, to the gym and got all sweaty (so no, there will be no outfit picture today). I showered, put on some warm sweats, WITH FUZZY SOCKS (invest) and decided I will be a legitimate outfit repeater sometime next week (and I will share the outfit in all it's glory! But you need to wait patiently!)
So I need some pretty inspiration and you do too. Let's all pretend we can afford every piece in the Spring 2011 J. Crew Collection. Can it be more perfect? Really? Can it? I want it all! Stripes, sequins, tailored blazers, strappy-flat sandals, chambray, cropped jeans, belts & button-downs, earth tones & neon's, prints & bows, ruffles & statement jewelry...magically appear in my closet please?

What inspires you on these dreary and ICY days?
