So I have never been obsessed with leather...or Versace for that matter. While I love crazy out-there fashion, Versace just seemed a little too over the top for me. Not in the over the top way that makes Betsey Johnson cartwheel down the runway (that's just awesome) but in a way that just made me want to live in denim jeans, white tee's and a pair of relaxed combat boots--ya dig?
But something changed, guys...really! I saw the Versace for H&M collection and fell in love. Studded mini dress with a cinched leather belt...with a fitted leather jacket to top it all off? I don't know what I love more; the contrast between the gold jewelry, studs and black leather or the short mini-dress which makes me want to put on my tallest, most bad-ass heels and go dancing at Kiss and Fly until 4am. Tell me, do you love it?

Bright Start
I woke up to great news this morning! I won the Justine Brooks sterling silver helicopter pendant at The Anthology! Thank you again Kelsey, I'm so excited, what a great start to my Thursday!
I'm going into the city today for a meeting and *gasp* my first official date (post-grad life). I wanted to dress cute/casual but still office-appropriate because I am going to a major magazines office. I'm wearing:

What I Wore, What I Bought
I will break this post in to 2 small segments--what I wore & what I bought.
What I wore:
Skirt: Free People // Tank: Hanes // Scarf: American Eagle Outfitters // Sandals: Old Navy
What I Bought:
Dress: Forever21 // Bikini: H&M // Tube-top: H&M
Yay for having a dress for the wedding next week. I know it's spring, but olive looks good with my skin tone, so I opted out of the turquoise and hot pink versions of the dress. Go check it out at your Forever21 because it's only $10!

Tank top: H&M // Jeans: American Eagle // Belt: Target // Wedges: Dolce Vita for Target // Bag: Michael Kors // Sunnies: Oscar by Oscar de la Renta
Happy Monday--bring on the week!

Leather & Prep
It finally feels like spring and I couldn't be happier. Recently I have been mixing and matching a ton--colors, fabrics, styles--I don't know where this is coming from. I used to strictly associate myself with the "preppy" look. However, I have come to realize that I do not favor one particular style. For me it is about meshing all different things that I love; whether it be leather and jewel tones, cotton and neon's, I am all about experimenting these days.
Skirt: Mossimo for Target // Tank top: H&M // Cardigan: Bass Outfitters // Shoes: Stuart Weitzman // Scarf: O by Oscar de la Renta // Bracelets: gifted from sister and friend
Do you mix it up?

Keepin' It Real
What's the best fashion advice you have ever heard? Recently magazines keep urging us to wear what is comfortable and what is most familiar. While I love testing the limits (sometimes...baby steps) I am definitely most comfortable in a cardigan, jeans, a button-down shirt and flats. There is something about the comfort of all these individual pieces; funnily, the simplicity of all my fashion staples combined creates a pretty polished and glossy look. Today I am "keepin' it real," totally simple:
Cardigan: H&M, Button-down: Verve, Jeans: Forever21, Flats: Steve Madden, Watch: Michael Kors
If you are "keepin' it real" what do you wear?

Posh Spice vs. Cassie
Hey everyone! This is going to be a very short post because I am heading to the airport in about a half hour (and I really need to do some last minute packing...) Last night I was googling some "celebrity airport outfits" to get some inspiration, I wanted to travel in style; you know 5 inch Louboutin's, monogrammed Louis Vuitton suitcases, body-con dresses, fur vests..standard travel uniforms, right? Well I settled for comfort (I have a layover so it's going to be a long, long day.) This is my outfit, although I wish I looked like posh...I admit defeat, I LOSE!
Sweatshirt: Mossimo for Target, Tank-tops: White (Old Navy) & Black (H&M), Leggings: Converse for Target, Scarf: Walmart, Bracelet: Tiffany & Co., Shoes: Sperry Top-Siders
What do you wear when you travel? Do you settle for comfort or GLAM OUT like V. Becks?

Come on Spring!
Hey guys! You know those mornings when you wake up and you are in a great mood? Well today when I woke up the birds seemed to be chirping (it didn't even annoy me), the sun was high in the sky, there was fresh frosty snow on the ground, and weather.com alerted me that today would be a high of 32 degrees. All these things contributed to my great mood...I feel spring fever coming on. Don't you love it when the shift of winter to spring starts becoming a little more noticeable? Hurry up, hurry up!!! I want sandals and seersucker shorts, bikinis and fedoras! Anyway, this is what I am wearing today:
Cardigan: H&M, Button Down: Bass Outfitters, Jeggings: Forever21, Boots: Boutique in NYC, Hair Clip: Urban Outfitters, Necklace (gifted)
What is your favorite thing about Spring?

Jumping in my Jumpsuit!
First off let me please say thank you! I have received such sweet comments lately and it really makes me smile. I love the camaraderie between bloggers, maybe I am getting corny, but I just hit 50 followers and it is really exciting for me! The fact that some of my blog-icons read and comment on what I have to say is just mind-blowing...I guess we all inspire each other! With all that said, if you would like to follow please do, don't be shy, and comment too! I love interacting with the lovely and stylish ladies that I have been virtually-introduced to lately (virtually introduced? Does that sound creepy?)
This is my outfit from last night...long story but not many people got to see it! Thursday-bar-night at my school is a bit out of control. My friends and I should of realized that getting to the bara little EXTREMELY late would cause us to wait outside in the freezing, arctic tundra that is Narragansett, and letting us in? One-in-one-out? No thank you! So we jumped around in the cold, hugging strangers for warmth (body heat is necessary in the cold)...then at 12:10pm, we quickly ran back to the car, defrosted at home and called it a night. Since we were standing outside the bar with about 100 people, in the dark (and everyone was too cold to check out each other's outfits) I will definitely be wearing this beautiful jumpsuit and outfit again...it's too pretty not to. The outfit consists of:

Happy Friday! Mine will be filled with errands, homework (or I will attempt) and a fun night out! What are your plans for tonight?

Internship Loving
Today was the first "official" day of my internship in office. It was so much fun and I am starting a ton of projects for various clients (I don't know how much I can blog about, I will definitely ask so I can share some fun stories with you all!) The dress code was very casual so that is exactly what I did:
Cardigan: Gap, Button Down Shirt: clearance rack at Marshall's, Jeans: Forever21, Boots: Bass, Belt: gifted from Mom, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: H&M
I wish I had more time to blog about my day but I have so much work to do!
And the snow won't stop falling...I just want to play (sadly I must work-on...)
How is everyone's week going? Are you guys as busy as me?
Ohhh...and a special thanks to Sydney for helping me with the pictures!

Last 1st Day
So today is my LAST 1st day of undergrad, how is this even possible? Although it feels as if time has passed by quicker than I could ever have imagined, I feel as if I accomplished a lot during my 3.5 (so far, almost 4) years at URI. I am not going to sadly post about my fears for the future (although I can't promise that won't happen eventually), but instead I will happily and excitedly tell you all that my roommate S took some great shots of me for your viewing pleasure. Just looking at the quality of these pictures makes me smile! It is so much better than my Photo booth Mac application, the pictures are so crisp and clean!!! Anyway, she has agreed to become my official blogging photographer so here we go blogosphere--I will only post clear and pretty images of myself for the rest of our union (which I hope is forever, because I thoroughly enjoy you and my blog friends!) I am wearing:
Vest: Mossimo for Target, Stripped T-shirt: American Eagle, White Long Sleeve: Target, Leggings: The Girls Leggings (from Marshalls), Leather Boots: Bass, Belt: gifted/borrowed from Mom, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: H&M
Don't you love dressing up for the first day of classes for the semester? What do you like to wear?

Functional Fashion
It is no small secret that I love wearing black! Black clothing, accessories, shoes, eyeliner...everything! The list just keeps going on and when I get dressed up it seems as if I am in a constant state of blending in with the night-time surroundings, just call me "night hawk" (okay, Step Brothers reference...I have watched that movie too many times over winter break). I honestly think I love black so much because it is functional. I can pair any black item with any other black item and look chic, timeless and pretty effortlessly-cool (if I do it right that is). Do you have a favorite color that you wear non-stop?
Last night I was reunited with all of my friends who I haven't seen since the end of last semester and it is funny how time can heal all wounds, broken hearts, and "major-but-not-so-major" conflicts (do you get my girl-talk?). Over a couple pitchers of white sangria, and tons of laughter and poking fun at each other we called it a night. Waking up this morning and seeing the beautiful Rhode Island sunrise reminded me of all simple but hilarious memories we made last night and it really makes me smile...it's going to be a good day!

Gothic Sparkles
Last nights StyleWeek Providence was a lot of fun. I saw two great shows, one by Karen Beebe and another by Samuel Vartan. Beebe's show was very feminine with tons of sparkly fabrics & polka dots and filled with short jumpers & dresses. Vartan's show was very gothic inspired; low cut pieces in leather, lace and velvet.
While I was going through my blog feed I saw how Ramsey from Love, Ramsey is doing a "pantless" challenge, essentially wearing skirts and dresses instead of pants...pretty self explanatory right? (Check out her site to see how she's doing!) Anyway, the point is that I was definitely inspired to wear a skirt to the show tonight. While this body-con skirt that I am wearing doesn't seem so..."appropriate" for an internship, I think that since it is for a fashion show event, and I am wearing a long tunic over it makes it more..."acceptable"? Tonight I'm wearing:
Skirt: H&M body-con, Tights: Target, Tunic: Adrienne Vittadini, Belt: borrowed from Mom, Socks: stolen from Dad, Boots: Sam Edelman, Watch: Michael Kors
